SDF_logo_2007_100x100.jpg
OpenNETCF's Smart Device Framework  2.2 is a continuation of version 1.4 efforts to improve the development experience for Smart Device developers using the Microsoft .NET Compact Framework.  Smart Device Framework 2.2 has a significant number of changes, improvements and enhancement over the previous versions.

The Smart Device Framework 2.2 Extensions for Visual Studio are an affordable set of plug ins for Visual Studio 2005.  They provide full intellisense and designer support for all SDF 2.2 libraries, plus they come with full source code for the entire Smart Device Framework  2.2.

The Smart Device Framework extends the .NET Compact Framework and allows the developer to concentrate on building the core application functionality instead of worrying about the intricacies of Windows Mobile or Windows CE.

Support

We provide two support options:

  • Basic Support, which comes with all Smart Device Framework Extensions sales is handled through our online Bugzilla tracking system.  You create a user account and enter bugs into the system and OpenNETCF will review and fix them as we have resources available.  We make no guarantee on when we might get a bug fixed but we will make every attempt to be timely.  We endeavour to respond within 4 business days but occasionally this may take longer.

  • Premium Support which is a support service that can be purchased with your Smart Device Framework licenses.  With Premium support you get a guaranteed response to your Bugzilla-reported bug within 1 business day.  That doesn't mean a fix, but it will be assigned to a support engineer and you will be notified of the action within 1 business day and an estimate on when it will be resolved.  Premium support customers also get two phone incidents where they can call in for support on incidents of high impact.
Maintenance

For an optional fee you can purchase an annual maintenance agreement for the Extensions.  As a general schedule, each month bug fixes and new features will collected into a set of new source files as a “patch” and that patch will be made available to all active maintenance holders free of charge.  On a quarterly basis a new revision of the Extensions will be compiled and built into a full-up installation.  These are also made available to maintainance holders free of charge.
